1 Und sie wandelten mitten im Feuer, lobten Gott und priesen den Herrn.

And they walked in the midst of the fire, praising God, and blessing the Lord.

2 Dann stand Azarias auf und betete in dieser Weise; und öffnete seinen Mund inmitten des Feuers und sprach,

Then Azarias stood up, and prayed on this manner; and opening his mouth in the midst of the fire said,

3 Gesegnet bist du, o Herr, Gott unserer Väter: dein Name ist würdig, gepriesen und verherrlicht zu werden in alle Ewigkeit.

Blessed art thou, O Lord God of our fathers: thy name is worthy to be praised and glorified for evermore:

4 Denn du bist gerecht in allem, was du uns getan hast: ja, wahrhaftig sind all deine Werke, deine Wege sind recht, und alle deine Urteile sind wahr.

For thou art righteous in all the things that thou hast done to us: yea, true are all thy works, thy ways are right, and all thy judgments truth.

5 In allem, was du über uns gebracht hast, und über die heilige Stadt unserer Väter, auch Jerusalem, hast du ein wahres Urteil vollstreckt: denn nach Wahrheit und Gerechtigkeit hast du all diese Dinge über uns gebracht wegen unserer Sünden.

In all the things that thou hast brought upon us, and upon the holy city of our fathers, even Jerusalem, thou hast executed true judgment: for according to truth and judgment didst thou bring all these things upon us because of our sins.

6 Denn wir haben gesündigt und Ungerechtigkeit begangen, indem wir uns von dir abwandten.

For we have sinned and committed iniquity, departing from thee.

7 In allen Dingen haben wir gesündigt und deine Gebote nicht befolgt, noch sie gehalten, noch getan, wie du uns befohlen hast, damit es uns wohl ergehe.

In all things have we trespassed, and not obeyed thy commandments, nor kept them, neither done as thou hast commanded us, that it might go well with us.

8 Deshalb hast du alles, was du uns angetan hast, in wahrhaftigem Urteil getan.

Wherefore all that thou hast brought upon us, and every thing that thou hast done to us, thou hast done in true judgment.

9 Und du hast uns in die Hände gesetzloser Feinde übergeben, der verhasstesten Verächter Gottes und eines ungerechten Königs, des bösesten der ganzen Welt.

And thou didst deliver us into the hands of lawless enemies, most hateful forsakers of God, and to an unjust king, and the most wicked in all the world.

10 Und nun können wir unseren Mund nicht öffnen, wir sind zur Schande und zum Vorwurf geworden vor deinen Dienern und denen, die dich anbeten.

And now we cannot open our mouths, we are become a shame and reproach to thy servants; and to them that worship thee.

11 Doch übergib uns nicht gänzlich, um deines Namens willen, noch löse deinen Bund auf:

Yet deliver us not up wholly, for thy name's sake, neither disannul thou thy covenant:

12 Und lass deine Gnade nicht von uns weichen, um deines geliebten Abrahams willen, deines Dieners Isaaks willen und deines heiligen Israels willen;

And cause not thy mercy to depart from us, for thy beloved Abraham's sake, for thy servant Issac's sake, and for thy holy Israel's sake;

13 Denen du zugesprochen und versprochen hast, dass du ihren Samen vermehren würdest wie die Sterne des Himmels und wie der Sand am Ufer des Meeres.

To whom thou hast spoken and promised, that thou wouldest multiply their seed as the stars of heaven, and as the sand that lieth upon the seashore.

14 Denn wir, o Herr, sind geringer geworden als jede Nation und werden an diesem Tag in der ganzen Welt wegen unserer Sünden geduldet.

For we, O Lord, are become less than any nation, and be kept under this day in all the world because of our sins.

15 Zu dieser Zeit gibt es weder Fürsten, noch Propheten, noch Anführer, noch Brandopfer, noch Opfergabe, noch Räucherwerk, noch einen Ort zum Opfern vor dir, um Barmherzigkeit zu finden.

Neither is there at this time prince, or prophet, or leader, or burnt offering, or sacrifice, or oblation, or incense, or place to sacrifice before thee, and to find mercy.

16 Dennoch lass uns in reuigem Herzen und einem demütigen Geist angenommen werden.

Nevertheless in a contrite heart and an humble spirit let us be accepted.

17 Wie bei den Brandopfern von Widdern und Stieren und wie bei zehntausenden fetten Lämmern: so lass unser Opfer vor dir heute sein und gewähre, dass wir dir ganz nachfolgen: denn sie sollen nicht beschämt werden, die ihr Vertrauen in dich setzen.

Like as in the burnt offerings of rams and bullocks, and like as in ten thousands of fat lambs: so let our sacrifice be in thy sight this day, and grant that we may wholly go after thee: for they shall not be confounded that put their trust in thee.

18 Und nun folgen wir dir von ganzem Herzen, wir fürchten dich und suchen dein Angesicht.

And now we follow thee with all our heart, we fear thee, and seek thy face.

19 Lass uns nicht beschämt werden: sondern handele mit uns nach deiner Güte und gemäß der Fülle deiner Barmherzigkeit.

Put us not to shame: but deal with us after thy lovingkindness, and according to the multitude of thy mercies.

20 Erlöse uns auch gemäß deiner wunderbaren Taten und gib deinem Namen Ruhm, o Herr: und lass alle, die deinen Dienern Schaden zufügen, beschämt werden;

Deliver us also according to thy marvellous works, and give glory to thy name, O Lord: and let all them that do thy servants hurt be ashamed;

21 Und lass sie in all ihrer Macht und Stärke verwirrt werden, und lass ihre Stärke zerbrochen werden;

And let them be confounded in all their power and might, and let their strength be broken;

22 Und lass sie erkennen, dass du Gott bist, der einzige Gott, und herrlich über die ganze Welt.

And let them know that thou art God, the only God, and glorious over the whole world.

23 Und die Diener des Königs, die sie hineingeworfen hatten, hörten nicht auf, den Ofen mit Harz, Pech, Werg und kleineren Hölzern zu heizen;

And the king's servants, that put them in, ceased not to make the oven hot with rosin, pitch, tow, and small wood;

24 Sodass die Flamme über den Ofen neunundvierzig Ellen emporstieg.

So that the flame streamed forth above the furnace forty and nine cubits.

25 Und sie drang hindurch und verbrannte die Chaldäer, die um den Ofen herum waren.

And it passed through, and burned those Chaldeans it found about the furnace.

26 Aber der Engel des Herrn kam in den Ofen herab zusammen mit Azarias und seinen Gefährten und schlug die Flamme des Feuers aus dem Ofen heraus;

But the angel of the Lord came down into the oven together with Azarias and his fellows, and smote the flame of the fire out of the oven;

27 Und machte die Mitte des Ofens wie einen feuchten, sausenden Wind, sodass das Feuer sie überhaupt nicht berührte, weder verletzte noch beunruhigte es sie.

And made the midst of the furnace as it had been a moist whistling wind, so that the fire touched them not at all, neither hurt nor troubled them.

28 Dann priesen, verherrlichten und segneten die Drei, als aus einem Mund, Gott im Ofen und sagten,

Then the three, as out of one mouth, praised, glorified, and blessed, God in the furnace, saying,

29 Gesegnet bist du, o Herr, Gott unserer Väter: und zu preisen und über alles zu erheben für immer.

Blessed art thou, O Lord God of our fathers: and to be praised and exalted above all for ever.

30 Und gesegnet ist dein herrlicher und heiliger Name: und zu preisen und über alles zu erheben für immer.

And blessed is thy glorious and holy name: and to be praised and exalted above all for ever.

31 Gesegnet bist du im Tempel deiner heiligen Herrlichkeit: und zu preisen und über alles zu verherrlichen für immer.

Blessed art thou in the temple of thine holy glory: and to be praised and glorified above all for ever.

32 Gesegnet bist du, der du die Tiefen betrachtest, und auf den Cherubim sitzt: und zu preisen und über alles zu erheben für immer.

Blessed art thou that beholdest the depths, and sittest upon the cherubims: and to be praised and exalted above all for ever.

33 Gesegnet bist du auf dem herrlichen Thron deines Reiches: und zu preisen und über alles zu verherrlichen für immer.

Blessed art thou on the glorious throne of thy kingdom: and to be praised and glorified above all for ever.

34 Gesegnet bist du im Himmelreich des Himmels: und über alles zu preisen und zu verherrlichen für immer.

Blessed art thou in the firmament of heaven: and above ail to be praised and glorified for ever.

35 O alle Werke des Herrn, segnet den Herrn: lobt und erhebt ihn über alles für immer.

O all ye works of the Lord, bless ye the Lord : praise and exalt him above all for ever,

36 O ihr Himmel, segnet den Herrn: lobt und erhebt ihn über alles für immer.

O ye heavens, bless ye the Lord : praise and exalt him above all for ever.

37 O ihr Engel des Herrn, segnet den Herrn: lobt und erhebt ihn über alles für immer.

O ye angels of the Lord, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

38 O ihr Wasser, die über dem Himmel sind, segnet den Herrn: lobt und erhebt ihn über alles für immer.

O all ye waters that be above the heaven, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

O ye spirits and souls of the righteous, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

65 O ihr heiligen und demütigen Männer des Herzens, segnet den Herrn: lobt und erhebt ihn über alles für immer.

O ye holy and humble men of heart, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

66 O Ananias, Azarias und Mischael, segnet den Herrn: lobt und erhebt ihn über alles für immer: denn er hat uns aus der Hölle erlöst und uns aus der Hand des Todes gerettet und uns aus der Mitte des Ofens und der brennenden Flamme befreit: selbst aus der Mitte des Feuers hat er uns befreit.

O Ananias, Azarias, and Misael, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever: far he hath delivered us from hell, and saved us from the hand of death, and delivered us out of the midst of the furnace and burning flame: even out of the midst of the fire hath he delivered us.

67 Danket dem Herrn, denn er ist gnädig: denn seine Barmherzigkeit währt ewig.

O give thanks unto the Lord, because he is gracious: for his mercy endureth for ever.

68 O alle, die den Herrn verehren, segnet den Gott der Götter, lobt ihn und dankt ihm: denn seine Barmherzigkeit währt ewig.

O all ye that worship the Lord, bless the God of gods, praise him, and give him thanks: for his mercy endureth for ever.
